- Halloween Trivia: Over $1.5 billion is generally spent on $costumes on a yearly basis and above $2.5 billion for other sorts of Halloween paraphernalia
- Halloween Trivia: Today, Halloween is not the one and only season when adults play dress-up! Party ensembles are put on to celebrate many of life's everyday situations; stage and theater, important festivals, reenactments, events, classroom plays, fantasy role playing, and so on.
- DIY Costume Idea: Tropical Paradise - Each person wears Hawaiian shirts with shorts, sandals, etc. Then take boxes and create dice by painting them white with black dots. Don the dice over your bodies. Voila! Tropical "pair of dice"!
- DIY Costume Idea: Rachel and Finn from Glee - Finn has short brown hair and wears a long-sleeve t-shirt, winter vest, jeans and sneakers. Rachel has long dark hair and wears a plaid school-girl skirt, top, cardigan and flats.
- DIY Costume Idea: Bobblehead - dress as your much-loved sports player. After that, anytime someone asks what you are, start wobbling your head about.
- Halloween Trivia: outfits use to often be made from animal skins or hides to give the illusion of the dangerous animal, as opposed to a human. A different well-known option was to sport frightening masks.
- DIY Costume Idea: Death by Chocolate - Make a Grim Reaper robe out of black colored brown cloth. Include a Hershey's logo to the back of the robe. Color the face white or put on a reaper face mask. Take a scythe (and plenty of chocolate candy to hand out!).
- DIY Costume Idea: Alien Host - This will reproduce the scene on the motion picture Aliens, where an infant alien has burst through the upper body of one of the characters. You'll need to get clay or something similar to duplicate the chestburster (a worm-like creature with teeth). Paint it then cover it with imitation blood. Slice a hole in the middle of your garments so it looks like the alien is bursting through your upper body. Splatter imitation blood round the hole.
- DIY Costume Idea: Ant - sport a dark-colored sweatsuit. Stuff the top of your trousers, plus the tank-top of your shirt to give yourself an ant-shape (cinch the middle). Make extra "legs" by stuffing black pantyhose with wire and batting. Attach the legs to your shirt and now "dangle" them from your arms using fishing line. Make antennae out of wire and fix to a headband.
- DIY Costume Idea: Cat with Litter Box - Dress like a cat (black colored clothes, cat ears and tail). Bring a new cat litter box, filled with the following mixture: rolled oats and granola cegenuine mixed together, Tootsie Rolls (softened with water), and dabs of chocolate icing. Offer to your friends. Gross... But delicious!
- Halloween Trivia: When the Romans beat the Celtic nations just prior to the birth of The lord, they both assimilated and added to ancient Celtic Halloween tokens and traditions. For instance, the celebration of Pomona, that commemorated the Roman Goddess of the gathering Pomona on Nov 1st, contributed the meal of peanuts and blueberries to Halloweens personal fall festivities.
- DIY Costume Idea: An Office Affair - Both dress in mainstream office clothing but with mis-buttoned and wrinkled items. His neck tie should be over his shoulder and he will want to have lip gloss on his collar, neck and face. The woman can dress yourself in one earring and a string of broken pearls and have mussed hair and smeared lip stick. Include a few a few stitches in her skirt so that it appears to have been pulled down in a hurry.
- DIY Costume Idea: Elektra - sport a red corset, snug low-rise red pants, and tall red leather boots. Don strips of reddish cloth crisscrossed round your hands and forearms. Bring two artificial sais (three-pronged daggers), and slip on a silver chain.
- DIY Costume Idea: a baby in Mama's Biceps - Find or make a actualistic-looking artificial woman's head. Paste it to a backpack that you dress in underneath your gear, so the head sticks up simply behind and above your own head. Have on a woman's dress. Now take a a toddler doll, remove its head and dress it in some PJs. Fix it right below your chin so it looks like your head is the baby's head and mama is holding you in her biceps (which are actually your arms).
